What exactly is Electric Acupuncture? How is it different from traditional acupuncture?
Electric Acupuncture is an enhanced form of traditional acupuncture. After the needles are placed, they are connected to a device that delivers a gentle, continuous electrical pulse. This amplifies the therapeutic effects by providing a more consistent and targeted stimulation to your nerves and muscles, often leading to faster and more significant results, especially for stubborn pain and muscle recovery.
Does it hurt? Will I feel an electric shock?

No, it is not a painful procedure and does not feel like an electric shock. You will feel the same initial gentle pinch as traditional acupuncture when the needle is inserted. The electrical current is introduced at a very low, comfortable level, creating a mild tingling, tapping, or pulsing sensation at the needle site. Our licensed practitioner will adjust the intensity to your comfort level throughout the session.

Is Electric Acupuncture safe?

Absolutely. When performed by a qualified and licensed practitioner like ours at Fixilab, Electric Acupuncture is very safe. The device uses a controlled, low-voltage current that is completely safe for the body. However, there are certain restrictions. It is not recommended for pregnant women or individuals with pacemakers, a history of seizures, or active infections.
